Elements of a Good CV

Targeted and Tailored Content

Your CV shouldn't be a one-size-fits-all document. For each job application, tailor your CV to highlight the skills and experience most relevant to the specific position and company. Analyze the job description and emphasize keywords and requirements that match your strengths.

Clear and Concise Formatting

Presentation matters! Use a professional and easy-to-read format with consistent fonts, headings, and bullet points. Ensure proper spacing and margins for a clean and organized look. Avoid excessive graphics or colors that might distract the reader.

Action-Oriented Descriptions

Don't just list your responsibilities in past roles. Use strong action verbs to describe your achievements and quantify your impact whenever possible. Highlight specific results you achieved, problems you solved, or contributions you made that demonstrate your value and potential.

Relevant Skills and Achievements

Showcase your key skills and achievements in a dedicated section. Focus on the skills mentioned in the job description and back them up with concrete examples from your experience. Consider including relevant awards, certifications, or projects that showcase your expertise and drive.

Once you think your CV is ready, feel free to upload it below to get a review from one of our experienced mentors.
